Building a new research agenda

ToE is a hub for international research projects. ToE also develops agenda-setting 'flagship' programs that engage with pressing societal and scholarly questions. The first ToE flagship program, initiated in 1999 in times of great European integration optimism, scrutinized Technology and European Integration, ca. 1850-2000. Today, in times of global crises and 'grand challenges', ToE builds a new flagship program: Technology and Societal Challenges, ca. 1815-2015.
